The Strip has dozens of steakhouses, and most “best steakhouse in Las Vegas” lists are rankings by someone who may or may not have paid. This page does something narrower: it lines up seven Strip steakhouses using only what each venue publishes about itself, checked on November 1, 2026.
Short answer: For a late Friday or Saturday table, Bavette’s and Carversteak list 11 PM closes. For lunch, Smith & Wollensky is the only one here with published lunch hours. If you’d rather not dress up, note that Carversteak, Peter Luger and SW all publish a dress code.
How we picked these seven
They’re the Strip steakhouses that show up most in Google results for “best steakhouse Las Vegas” and “steakhouse Las Vegas Strip,” and whose own pages list hours and location. We left out places whose pages we couldn’t read on the check date rather than fill gaps from third-party sites. The list is alphabetical; order says nothing about quality.

- SW Steakhouse (Wynn): “Upscale casual chic.” Collared shirts recommended; athletic apparel, flip-flops and athletic slides aren’t permitted. Children under 5 aren’t permitted.
- Carversteak (Resorts World): Business casual.
- Peter Luger (Caesars Palace): Business casual.
- Bavette’s, PRIME, Smith & Wollensky, StripSteak: no dress code on the pages we read. Call ahead if it matters.
Corkage and extras worth knowing
SW Steakhouse’s page says Wynn and Encore charge $50 per bottle corkage, limited to two 750 ml bottles or one magnum per table, for wines not on the list. Smith & Wollensky advertises a three-course Show Night Menu Thursday to Sunday, 3 to 6 PM.
What people ask about online
On Reddit, “best steakhouse” threads tend to split between big-name Strip rooms and local favorites. In an r/vegas thread, one poster said StripSteak at Mandalay Bay was their favorite and others pointed to off-Strip options.
